A gravel bridleway passes through a tunnel of trees past fields along the route of a disused railway line, Themelthorpe, Norfolk.

The Themelthorpe loop, or Curve, linked two lines previously owned by rival networks. Midland & Great Northern (M&GN) trains ran north-south, Great Eastern Railway (GER) trains ran east-west. The curve’s construction under British Rail made it the sharpest bend on the UK network. It is now the route of the Marriott’s Way long-distance bridleway, here seen on late sorting morning, the canopy now meeting in places like this to form a green tunnel.
