Adult and juvenile Ethiopian bee-eaters (Merops lafresnayii) perched close together on a branch in scrub on the shore of Lake Langano, Oromia, Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian bee-eater was formerly considered a sub-species of the blue-breasted species. These birds were in the grounds of Bishangari Ecolodge in Ethiopia’s Rift Valley.
